National championship competitions take place next to ‘learn to swim’ classes. Elsewhere basketball, badminton, netball, hockey, squash and volleyball matches are underway. If you like sport you’ll love MSAC.
Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) is a large world class sports facility in Albert Park near the lake.
It is part of the Melbourne Sports Hub which is located in this area and also consists of Lakeside stadium, State Netball & Hockey Centre and the MSAC institute of training.
Sports at the venue include swimming, diving, basketball, table-tennis, badminton, hockey, netball, squash and volleyball.
The centre also has a gym with fitness training and wellness centre with classes in Yoga, Pilates and Hydrotherapy.
There are wheelchair & para sports clubs here and the hydrotherapy pool is designed with wheelchair users in mind. There are several disabled park right out front.
