Transit is a solid rooftop bar directly across from Flinders Street Station. It doesn’t get more central than that.
Sitting above Taxi Kitchen above Transport Pub this bar is part of the Transport family. The lift will bring you to the top floor & this European-influenced bar. It’s cosier than Transport downstairs and swaps TVs for fine cocktails. There’s a slight gradient up into the place and hard floors underfoot. Some of the view is obstructed for wheelchair users but sundown doesn’t disappoint. There’s a cabaret vibe with live music and chesterfield-style armchairs inside. Heaters are fixed to the roof for colder conditions. Bar snacks are available and arriving before the sun dips below the arts centre is a good option. Smart dress code applies (sometimes).

Not so: Glass railings would open up the view completely
