The Beer and Burger Bar
On the surface, The Beer and Burger Bar in Richmond isn’t that different from most burger joints. It does have one thing that the others don’t though – a low bar. Seated in a wheelchair, you can rest your arms on the bar in front of the beer taps.
If you can transfer onto one of the short stools it’s an even better experience. There’s a good range too – there’s 8 beers on tap plus 30+ bottled beers available.
Predominantly burgers, the menu extends to other deep-fried delights like onion rings, crumbed jalapeños and our favourite – the mac and cheese balls.
There’s benches and low stools near the front and you can pull up to the sit-down arcade game easily enough. Exposed brick, concrete floors and Edison lights add to a low-fuss warehouse feel.

Good: The bar height, obviously
Not so: A familiar format
